Independence Day Parade!

Today, we had a school wide parade to celebrate America’s birthday! The children created “Firecracker” and other festive hats and decorations for  the event. The parade concluded with the children doing the “Pledge of Allegiance” and listening to the National Anthem.  Happy fourth of July Oak Brook School !

Our Explorers Puppet Show!

  Our School age program wrote, directed, and starred in their own puppet shows last Friday! Children created sock puppets , and  intertwined the weekly curriculum summer theme of ” Skiing/Mountains” into their storytelling! We loved their creativity! Great job explorers!

Dallas Cirque

This week we were able to see the acrobatic work of some amazing kids! The Dallas Cirque did a great job including the audience in their performance. Safari Infant Art

The cutest foot prints we have ever seen and we are not Lion! Ms. Michele has used her creativity in helping our babies participate in Safari week.

In Sync Exotics

This week our “Explorers” went on a Safari adventure to see lions and tigers at In Sync Exotics in Wylie. Although a little warm outside, the kids really had a good time. In Sync Exotics is a non profit BIG Cat rehabilitation and rescue facility. The oldest lion was 22 years old ( lions only live about 18 years in the wild)! These folks

Magician in the house!

Our kids were entertained by a local magician at the school. Rick Morrill who has been entertaining kids for 20 years had a plethora of magic tricks up his sleeve to keep the kids engaged. His show was interactive and kid-friendly. Thank you Rick for stopping by!
