Our Team

Oak Brook School carefully selects staff from many applicants by using a two step interview process.  References, FBI background checks, and fingerprinting are done prior to hiring. All teachers are required to have current CPR and First Aid certification. Teachers with less than 2 years of previous experience must complete a 24 hour pre-service training. All teachers are required to attend a minimum of 24 hours of additional training each year that is relevant to the age group they teach.

Rachel DeBlanc – School Director

Rachel was born and raised in the DFW metroplex where she graduated high school from First Baptist Academy in Dallas. She then studied psychology at Hardin Simmons University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science. Rachel has been a professional in the field of early childhood education for 17+ years and holds a Director’s certification in the State of Texas. She has previously taught kindergarten, served as an assistant director, director, and regional director overseeing the quality and daily operations of multiple campuses.

Rachel, her husband, and their beautiful twin girls currently reside in Allen. They love being a family and enjoy the opportunity to build lasting memories with their kiddos! From enjoying the wonderful parks in Allen to experiencing all the area has to offer, Rachel and her family are excited about the opportunity to have a relational impact with families of the community!

Brittney Willingham – Assistant Director

Ms. Brittney and her husband are parents to two beautiful little girls. Before having kids, Ms. Brittney always knew she wanted to be a teacher or play some role in children’s lives that would have a lasting and positive impact on them. Being in early childhood education for 10+ years has given her that opportunity and has truly taught her how to do just that! Ms. Brittney has worked in every part of a school and she has a true appreciation for leading staff members with an understanding of the importance of their roles. She holds a Director’s certification in the State of Texas, loves what she does, and cherishes the bonds that she makes with children and their parents. Parents trusting Ms. Brittney with their most prized possession is a wonderful feeling for her!

Mr. Nicholas – Curriculum Coordinator

Mr. Nicholas is our Curriculum Coordinator and comes to us with with 10 years of experience. He is a big kid at heart and has a dog named Jet that he adores and is literally his best friend. When he isn’t spending time with family, friends or his fur baby his mind is always spinning with new ideas to implement into our school.

He started out at Mesquite ISD as a special-needs teacher for five years. He then moved to Euless and worked at Harmony of Innovation for three years. During that time, he also was the after-school site director for a program called Zenith Learning. Mr. Nick considers it a huge blessing to his life to be working with children of all ages. Mr. Nick is a huge asset to our school with a variety of different training as he’s worked in multiple different fields in this career. He feels these children have helped him grow as a person while he’s been able to shape the their little minds and add joy to their hearts in the meantime. Nick was voted “Teacher of the year in 2017!” That just speaks volumes to his passion, dedication and love for the job. To him it is more than just a job, it’s a family! Something he gets up and looks forward to each day.

Ms.Michele – Infants Teacher

Ms. Michele has been with the school since 2013. She was voted “Teacher of the Year for 2018!” She absolutely adores looking after babies. Michele has the calming, nurturing personality that is so important in this classroom. Michele has two grown kids and several little nieces and nephews that she loves watching!

Ms. Kathya – Infants Teacher

Ms. Kathya is originally a native of Panama but was raised in Southern California. She has a lot of experience taking care of children from teeny tiny newborns to school age kids. Infants are her most favorite age group! She loves giving them all the love and nurturing they need while they are away from their parents. Ms. Kathya is a mother of three grown children and wife to the man of her dreams! She absolutely loves taking care of our Oak Brook babies.

Ms. Chesley – Infants Teacher

Ms. Chesley was born & raised in Texas. She has a little boy Hudson who is two. Ms. Chesley enjoy doing activities with her son like going outside, playing games & watching Disney movies. She loves kids and being able to watch them grow and learn new things, and is really excited on being a part of OBS!

Ms. Gloria – Infants Teacher

Ms. Gloria has a master’s degree in education and has been working in childcare since 2012. In her free time, she loves to watch movies and spend time with her two daughters and beautiful granddaughter! She has thoroughly enjoyed working in our infant wing for the past year bonding with our babies and their parents. We are happy to have her on our OBS team!

Ms. Marisel – Infants Teacher

Ms. Marisel is from Venezuela and she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering. Throughout her life she has dedicated a lot of time to taking care of children. She has enjoyed every minute of it and the opportunity to watch them grow and flourish. She feels very proud and lucky to be part of such great group of teachers. Her goal is to make sure each child receive the best care and love that they all deserve. Ms. Marisel has two wonderful children of her own that keep her very busy with their extracurricular activities…being their mom is her favorite job!!! Ms. Marisel is happily married!

Ms. Jennifer – Tiny Tots Teacher

Ms. Jennifer has been in child-care since 2002. She took some time off to be with her two boys but came back to work with children again because this is where her heart is! Jennifer and her family love the outdoors. We are so thankful to have someone with 17+ years of child-care experience at our school!

Ms. Rebecca – Tiny Tots Teacher

Ms. Rebecca was born and raised in Texas with close ties to her family. She loves babies and the Tiny Tot’s age group! She believes it to be a blessing to see the kids every day and to watch them learn and grow! Ms. Rebecca is also a new mom to her son Jaxon and is a loving aunt to a two-year old. We are so grateful to have her on our amazing OBS team!

Ms. Mara – Tiny Tots Teacher

Ms. Mara is from Venezuela and has a husband and two kids. Her family means the world to her! Ms. Mara has a passion for dancing to salsa music and she loves animals! She has learned so much about herself through teaching and watching students grow daily! Ms. Mara loves spending her day working with the children at Oak Brook School! It warms her heart to know she is able to provide love and security for them daily! Ms. Mara is thankful that Oak Brook has provided her with such a wonderful opportunity to have extended family that she values so much!

Ms. Casandra – Tots Teacher

Ms. Cassandra is honored to be a part of the OBS family! She has been working in childcare for four years and looks forward to learning and growing alongside the toddlers that she has the pleasure of teaching daily! She loves toddlers and all the exploring, learning, and fun that they (and she) get to have! Ms. Cassandra lives in McKinney with her husband and son.

Ms. Madi – Tots Teacher

Ms. Madi was born and raised in Texas and is a full-time student at Collin College where she is studying to be a veterinarian. Being a student has helped Ms. Madi discover her love for teaching. Ms. Madi loves each student as if they were her own and her goal at Oak Brook School is to make a difference in each child’s life while guiding them to meet new milestones along the way! In her free time, Ms. Madi loves to be with her fiancé and their two dogs, Bella and Arie.

Ms. Cristina – Early Learners Teacher

Ms. Cristina has 8 years of experience in childhood education and is bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ms. Cristina is married and has a daughter that also attends OBS. Ms. Cristina loves to spend time with her family and is the sister-in-law to Ms. Yomali in our Pre-Preschool classroom! Ms. Cristina (affectionately known as “Ms. Tina”) is really creative, loves to make every day an awesome day for our little ones, and loves teaching kids! We look forward to the positive impact Ms. Cristina will continue to have on our school as she draws on her many years of experience!

Ms. Crystal – Early Learners Teacher

Ms. Crystal has been working in childcare for 2 1/2 years and she loves working with children! She has discovered that they are her passion. Ms. Crystal believes that being a part of the Oak Brook family is truly the best thing that could’ve happened to her. She is so excited to be teaching your little ones!

Ms. Danielle P. – Early Learners Teacher

Ms. Danielle has worked with kids for over 7 years now! Ms. Danielle works with our two-year old’s and is the life of the party. Her contagious laugh makes the kids smile as they rock out in the classroom together! When not at work, Ms. Danielle enjoys time with her husband and daughter.

Ms. Kelsey – Early Learners Teacher

Ms. Kelsey has had a passion for being around children for as far back as she can remember! Being a part of such a vulnerable period in their life and shaping their little minds gives her the greatest joy! She is currently waiting to get into the nursing program and from there she plans on specializing in the NICU so she is able to still work with children and fulfill her passion! From the feel of family and getting to know each and every student and their parents, OBS has been such a blessing in her life and has taught her so much! She will be able to utilize the skillset she’s been exercising at OBS when she’s carrying out her dream job as a nurse! Until then, Ms. Kelsey plans to continue to give her all into the precious students to help them grow academically, emotionally and socially!

Ms. Yomali – Pre Pre-School Teacher

Ms. Yomali is from McKinney, TX where she lives with her husband and two young children. She has been in the early childhood education industry for several years and loves working with young children where she admires their creativity, imagination, and endless energy! Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family as much as she can.

Ms. Gabbie – Pre Pre-school Teacher

Ms. Gabbie is originally from Mesquite, TX. She has 3 nephews that she loves and they have helped her realize just how much she loves being around young children! She says that she looks forward to coming to school every day because she loves to teach the children and watch them grow, and she even looks forward to seeing herself grow along with the children!

Ms. Jordan – Preschool Teacher

Ms. Jordan, her husband, and their 5-year old daughter live in Princeton Texas. Ms. Jordan went to school for early childcare development and she has worked with kids since she was 16 years old. She is going back to school to finish her degree so she can become an elementary school teacher. In the meantime, she wants to focus on helping grow the minds of the children that she’s blessed to lead each day.

Ms. Taylor B. – Preschool Teacher

This is Ms. Taylor’s first year at Oak Brook School, but she has been a preschool teacher for 4 years and in childcare for over 15 years. Ms. Taylor loves the exploring, fun and learning that goes on in the classroom. Her passion is to lead the next generation with examples of leadership, love, forgiveness and kindness! She has been married for 5 years to her best friend and has a 15-month-old son who she loves with all her heart! Ms. Taylor is the oldest of 5 siblings and family is very important to her. Her goal is to become an elementary school teacher, but she sure does have a soft spot for the little ones!

Ms. Lauren – Preschool Teacher

Ms. Lauren has been in childcare since 2015. She is passionate about being a positive person and impacting the next generation. She believes being in child-care helps her do that. Ms. Lauren’s long-term goal is to be an elementary school teacher and continue her passion. She loves spending her spare time with family and friends and being outdoors. We are so glad to have an enthusiastic teacher like her on our team!

Ms. Danielle K. – Pre-K Teacher

Ms. Danielle was born and raised in Texas and has a 7-year old son. Ms. Danielle went to school for Early Childhood Education and has taught for the last 10 years. She has a passion for teaching and for helping kids in their growth and development. Ms. Danielle loves the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Jenna – Pre-K Teacher

Ms. Jenna has been an educator for almost 11 years and loves every moment of it! Shaping young minds has been a strong passion of hers since she was a young girl teaching her teddy bears addition and subtraction! It was a fun class to be in. 😉 As Dr. Seuss would say; “children want the same things as we want. To laugh, to be challenged, to be entertained and to be delighted.” This is something she strives to achieve while implementing it into her teaching style. Ms. Jenna strongly believes that once a child’s mind has been opened, wild and wonderful things can and will happen!

Ms. Bailee – Private Kindergarten Teacher

Ms. Bailee has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has several years of experience teaching elementary with her specialty being Private Kindergarten. Ms. Bailee believes OBS is the greatest place to be. She has been in childcare and early education for as long as she can remember! Her calling has always been to teach, love and nurture children through jobs, mission work and raising her own little one. She runs off of Dr. Pepper and essential oils! Ms. Bailee brings this positive energy with her and is always encouraging everyone around her. We are so proud to have her on our team!

Ms. Kelly – Explorers Teacher

Ms. Kelly has cared for little kiddos since 2013. She loves creating and implementing curriculum into her classroom while watching the students grow in their development! She takes care of the after school kids and simply loves interacting with them.

Ms. Diana – Spanish/Computer/Music Teacher

Ms. Diana is originally from Peru and has been working with infants to schooler aged kids for 8 years. Teaching is her greatest passion and she absolutely love it! In her free time, Ms. Diana likes to spend time with her family and going on adventures with her daughter! Ms. Diana is so thankful to be a part of OBS!

Ms. Yohalis (Jo) – Spanish/Art Teacher

Ms. Yohalis (Jo) is originally from Venezuela. She moved here several years ago where she lives with her 6 year old son. She loves working with young children! Ms. Yohalis always has a smile on her face and is happy to be a part of the school! You can always find her dancing and snuggling with the little ones when she is in the classroom.

Ms. Liz – Arts/Floater Teacher

Ms. Liz was born in Táchira, Venezuela, and moved to the United States when she turned 20 years old. Ms. Liz is happily married and has three children Pedro, Nicole and Gabriella. Ms. Liz has been working with children for 20 years and is fantastic with all ages and specializes in creative arts.

Chef Amanda – Chef

Ms. Amanda is from Lone Star, Texas and has helped raise her three nephews. She has worked in the food industry for over 20 years. She has a wealth of knowledge in healthy cuisine and nutrition. She has been with the Oak Brook family since 2014. She says her day is made when kids run up to her and tell her they love her food! Chef Amanda looks forward to continuing to create healthy and delicious meals for the children of Oak Brook School.
