Lisa Carter - Assistant Director
My name is Lisa Carter and I am excited to be a part of the Oak Brook School family! I have been in the childcare industry for almost 18 years and I love what I do! Before becoming an Assistant Director I was a teacher in a classroom for 12 years. I have taught every age from Infants all the way up to 12 years old. I truly have a passion for education and for helping to enrich the lives of the children I care for in any school where I work!
I currently live in McKinney but I am in the process of moving back to my hometown of The Colony as I am purchasing a home out there. I am a single mom to an amazing 11 year old boy named Trevor. He is the center of my world and I am doing my best to raise him to be an upstanding young man in the community. Family is very important to me and I love my family and my friends.
Brittney Willingham - Curriculum Coordinator
I am a wife and a mom to two beautiful little girls, Brevynn (3) and Payton (1). Before having kids I always knew I wanted to be a teacher or play some role in children’s lives to help positively impact them. Being in this industry for the past 5 years has truly taught me how to do just that! I have worked in every part of a school from being a lead teacher in the two’s class, an assistant in a 3-5 year old class, to covering lunch breaks, covering the kitchen, transporting the children on the bus to attend field trips and now working in management for the past two years. It’s given me so much appreciation being able to see every aspect of the school and playing the different roles. I love what I do and the impact that I not only make on a child but also the parents. Parents trusting me with their most prized possession.
I currently live in McKinney and we are working towards purchasing our first home. Being a wife and a mom is very rewarding, but I also get the same joy when forming that bond with the families of the school!
